This week’s tip: Reduce Your Stress Level
For one: Think positively.
Try to spend at least thirty minutes a day doing something you enjoy. (i.e.,Taking a walk on the beach or in a park, visiting with friends, soaking in a hot tub, reading a good book, taking a yoga class, playing with your dog or cat, listening to calming music, watching a funny movie).
Some other ideas: Meditate. When you feel stressed out, practice deep breathing, count to ten before losing your temper or getting aggravated. Avoid difficult people when possible.
Sure, your days are jam-packed with all those things that keep a retailer busy, (customer care, inventory management, getting your unequal fair share of the marketplace), so now more than ever it is important to maintain a healthy body, mind & spirit. Being less stressed helps in more ways than one, as those around you will feel that sense of peace about you, …leading to better customer care, better sales, better relationships.
